With over 30 years of media experience, Matt has a proven track record of building high caliber organizations and leading technology transformation: driving product-led growth and building technology platforms and operating them at scale. His entrepreneurial experience and spirit combined with his depth of media business acumen are key to his success in driving industry evolution and overall business strategy.
Matt was most recently the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Comcast Technology Solutions, a global division of Comcast Cable which he established and operated from 2012-2018 as a B2B provider of products and services primarily developed and proven within Comcast. Matt also deepened Comcast’s relationship with the city of Denver by creating an innovative $5Mmulti-faceted partnership with the University of Colorado, Denver, which included the development of the Comcast Media and Technology Center located at the center of campus.
Prior to Comcast, Matt was CEO and co-founder of Troppus Software Corporation, a SaaS business providing customer care and technical support software and services to the multiple-systems operator and telecommunications marketplace, which was sold to Echo Star Corporation in 2011. Earlier in his career, Matt held various executive-level positions at Next Action Corporation, Level 3 Communications, Inc., and America Online, Inc.
Matt is an adjunct professor at the University of Denver where he teaches graduate level courses in leadership and ethics as well as technology strategy and management. Matt serves as a Board Director for multiple privately-held technology companies, and is the Chairman of the Board for Junior Achievement, Rocky Mountain.
Matt holds a BS cum laude in Finance and Management Information Systems from Boston College and an MBA from the Colgate Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.
