As Senior Vice President of Engineering, David Arbuckle leads MediaKind’s global SaaS and Product Engineering organization, overseeing the company’s SaaS platforms, TV platforms, Advertising and Linear Rights Management solutions, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and core cloud infrastructure. He is currently leading the unification of MediaKind and Harmonic’s products and the integration of the two companies’ engineering organizations following their recent merger. Passionate about building high-performing engineering organizations, David is committed to creating an environment where teams are empowered to innovate, solve complex challenges, and deliver their best work.
A self-taught software engineer, he spent nearly a decade at Comcast, where he developed large-scale cloud platforms supporting video services across North America and Europe, including pioneering the company’s first private cloud platform for video products. Since joining MediaKind, David has led the evolution of the company’s cloud engineering capabilities, optimized cloud operations, and led the creation of MK.IO—from its first lines of code to a SaaS platform serving more than 500 customers and generating over $40 million in annual recurring revenue. Throughout his career, he has focused on building scalable platforms, leading organizations through transformation, and delivering technology that creates lasting business value.
When David is not engineering or filing for new U.S. patents, he enjoys spending his free time exploring the outdoors and birdwatching.
