IBC 2022 Preview: MediaKind’s Back in Amsterdam!

We are just days away from the industry’s long-awaited return to Amsterdam for IBC2022, one of the biggest trade events of the year. MediaKind will be back at the RAI Convention Centre, demonstrating the full breadth of our cloud-native portfolio, spanning live media acquisition, production, processing, delivery, experience, and monetization. The highly anticipated return of an in-person IBC will be an excellent opportunity to reconnect face-to-face with our customers, partners, and industry friends and showcase the many new services and developments that we have been developing.

So, what does MediaKind have in store for the IBC community?

This year, MediaKind will be exhibiting in Hall 1 (#1.D09), where attendees can discover how we provide the technology, solutions and services to deliver quality, immersive media experiences and stream ‘live without limits’.

  • A live end-to-end streaming experience spanning acquisition, contribution and distribution, packaging, monetization and playback
  • Our new ‘Track the Ads’ challenge, an on-booth experience utilizing MediaKind’s Emmy® Award-winning PRISMA solution which places targeted personalized adverts within a viewer’s streaming feed, where you could win a prize every day for spotting a specially placed golden ad!

We have lined up a number of speaking sessions that you don’t want to miss; we’ll be taking a deep-dive on market challenges and analysing hot industry topics during some live presentations:

Saturday, September 10

  • Julien Le Tanou, Principal Engineer, Video Technology at MediaKind, will be presenting a technical paper as part of the IBC Conference track on ‘Advances in video coding’, E102, 12:00 – 13:00. Julien will be exploring encoding optimizations for live streamed game content, highlighting the technical differences and obstacles faced by video gaming companies when looking to encode and package rendered video. This will be a fascinating session to attend and certainly not one to miss for anyone in the live streaming, gaming, and esports space.

Sunday, September 11

  • I will be speaking on IABM TV from 14:00 – 14:30 to discuss the importance of cloud to content owners and distributors and how MediaKind is enabling the shift to the cloud. So, keep an eye out for IBC’s official show coverage on the first day of the show, where my interview will be aired!
